This is one of the worst things that you can do when it comes to an alcoholic parent. Not listening to them makes them feel that you dont care about them at all. They think that you are thinking you can do what you privation when you want to do it. It is not the case, but that is how an alcoholic parent sees it in his or her perspective.Yes there are many other ways you can approach an alcoholic parent, but these are the ways that I feel are most helpful.
